MOREAncient man did not have a highly developed form of art. Cave paintings are line drawings of the world that cavemen experienced. Primitive art shows animals and hunters. Sometimes color was added to these simple drawings. They conveyed concepts of how man saw the world. Fast forward a few millennia and art progressed. People and landscapes became the subject of art as paints and canvas were developed. Realism was important but emotions were beginning to be conveyed within paintings. Modern art combines simplicity of line or color and expresses emotion instead of realism. Art has traveled through many different forms and all art forms are still used for expression today.
